I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hermitage Inn, nestled along the charming main street of Warkworth. It's a solid choice, especially for those looking for a blend of comfort and value. The comfortable en suite room offered all the essentials, including an electric kettle and free toiletries, making it easy to unwind and feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a substantial spread that catered well to morning appetites. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips served in the bar-simple, well-cooked, and a nice touch after a day of exploring the beautiful Coquet River. I must mention the staff were stretched a bit thin, likely due to a few overbooked rooms. Despite this, their warmth and care shone through. While Hermitage Inn may not be the most luxurious option, it certainly offers a fair balance between comfort and cost. It's worth considering if you're seeking a friendly village atmosphere without breaking the bank.
